Sorry i will try it for next sim on my smartphone just now but its to small a screen to mess about with these settings my clumsy fingers wont be able to do it right lol

I had a thought on this and want to make sure this isn't what's happening - your scout plays will be cleared after each game, because you new opponent doesn't necessarily have the same playbook and most certainly won't have the same usage of the playbook if it is similar. So you do need to set your scout plays for each game. Are you setting the scout plays and then leaving the page, then coming back to it and they are gone? Or is there a game that is spanning between the times you look at your scouting plays?

No I am redoing them for each opponent and as soon as I leave the screen they just disappear like I haven't even touched them

Ok - well, it very well could be an IE8 issue. Let me know if you get a chance to try it with Chrome.
